Jump 101

$129.00

4 spots per class. No experience needed. This adult-only introductory course is designed for beginners and riders who have not jumped yet or are not fully comfortable jumping.

Coach Robbie’s method centers around your safety and comfort - when we’re relaxed we process information more readily. With care and patience, together you’ll take small, approachable steps to get you safely into the air, with a take-home drill to help your continued practice. Video feedback on a large TV provides opportunity to observe your form, giving you time to rest and ask questions in between jumps.

In this course you will learn about the jumping spectrum and what we must do to support the flight path needed in order to land safely, accurately & consistency. Robbie sees jumping as an equation and transfer of energy. Learning to adjust the variables allows us to place the bike where we want, once we understand the posture we must hold in order to create leverage (acceleration) into our wheels.

Robbie’s airbags provide an invaluable experience, creating a safety net for you to learn the right technique in a supportive group setting. Paired with slow motion video feedback and lots of repetition from you, you’ll leave with soaring confidence and a sound understanding of the physics and body mechanics when we’re getting two wheels off the ground. Riders average from 50-70 jumps during their session. 4:1 riders : coach.

Class will begin with a small 2’ airbag & ramp touching the landing pad - no need to get into the air until you feel ready!

If you feel ready for a taller/larger bag and jump, please consider a 102, 201, or private lesson option. This is a beginner level class.

Half Shell Helmet & knee pads are required.

Hardtails, Ebikes & trail bikes welcome! Multiple bikes a-ok!

Please reach out with any questions.
